Launching "VOICES OF WOMEN WORLDWIDE" = VOWW-TV
Since January 2011, Global Cultural Diversity Films (GCDF) Inc (headquartered in New York-USA and Birmingham-UK) has been producing, directing and editing digital/HD videos, specially with the most recently created unique TV series titled: "VOICES OF WOMEN WORLDWIDE" for the newly created WebTV network VOWW-TV, which will be transmitted across over 100 WebTV networks from May 2011.
Producing digital/HD TV programs since 2001, GCDF Inc. passionately believes that VOWW-TV will build communities and share ideas by and for women all over the world. The WebTV was conceived after GCDF Inc. started interviewing dozens of women from all over the world who arrived to attend the United Nations 55th Commission on the Status of Women (22 February - 7 March).
During the two weeks, GCDF's team noticed how only Hollywood stars and celebrated personalities, pop/rock musicians and op/pop artists and fashion designers (who had lent their names), were swamped by the mainstream national and international media. It was this realitics , that created the TV series for "VOICES OF WOMEN WORLDWIDE CHANNEL - as GCDF recognized and interviewed those "voiceless" women seated in small and larger committee rooms at the UN Church Center, the Salvation Army building, etc. Many spoke as national orators sharing on film what was happening in their countries and the spectacular accomplishments achieved in their rural and urban communities in Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, South and South East Asia.
On 24 February 2011, there was the official launching and creation of "UN WOMEN" at the United Nations, declared by the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. He announced the appointment of the former President of Chile Ms Michelle Bachelet, Executive Director.

Finally, there was the celebration to mark the 100th anniversary of International Women's Day - one day - exclusively commemorated annually worldwide - where all those ordinary women played extraordinary roles in the history of their rural and urban communities.

It also became that one day to reflect on progress made for women's human rights and called for more radical changes and empowerment for the girl-child, young women and all women through education and daily communication.

After three months of creating VOICES OF WOMEN WORLDWIDE with 250 members joining in …it is important to keep our voices alive and growing … so VOWW + VOW-TV is sending out a live discussion to its members and asking them what they had in their minds when joining up ?
VOWW wanted to offer a strategies for multiplying impact for the growing voices for voiceless women, young girls and children in the sense of actually working towards creating an impact worldwide. But some members interpreted as something very significant … a platform where they could share their own voiceless voices with others from around the world …
VOWW through VOW-TV had the simple task to film and introduce individual voices around the world to voice their workloads, etc. which it will be the main impact but we will also work with our members from new terroritories through conversations
REACHING THE NEXT STAGE … we already know that we can do more than most people, and now each one of us wants to move in that direction. Let’s explore what exactly we have in mind to reach the next stage ?
